Packaging and Artwork for Fragrance Brands
Components come from the catalogue; boxes, labels and print-ready files come from the brand. This page sets out what has to be decided on the artwork side, and where that work is done.
Private Label Perfumery manufactures the product and supplies the components. Packaging artwork — carton, label and print-ready files — is a separate discipline, carried out by Ambalaj Tasarım Merkezi, a packaging design studio working with brands in the same markets.
What packaging means on a fragrance project
A fragrance project has two design layers. The first is the component itself: bottle, cap, pump and the decoration applied to glass. The second is everything printed around it — the folding carton, the label, the leaflet and the shipper. Manufacturing supplies the first layer from the catalogue; the second layer arrives as files from the brand.
What a print-ready file has to carry
A print-ready file is not a picture of the box. It is built on the die-line of the exact carton, in the right colour space, with bleed, with fonts converted, and with every mandatory text block placed where regulation requires it. Artwork that looks correct on screen can still be unusable on press if the die-line, the bleed or the colour build is wrong.
Where artwork meets the production specification
The carton is sized around the bottle with its cap fitted, not around the bottle alone. Label area follows the bottle’s flat panel, and a curved body changes how the design can be laid out. This is why the bottle model is confirmed before artwork is finalised: choosing the component first means the artwork is drawn against real dimensions instead of being redrawn later.
What stays with the brand
Private Label Perfumery manufactures the product. The brand name, the artwork files and the positioning decisions stay with the brand, together with the market-access obligations in the country of sale. Design can be commissioned anywhere; what matters to production is that the files arrive built on the correct die-line and with the required text blocks present.

Frequently asked questions
Does Private Label Perfumery design packaging?
No. Manufacturing supplies the components and produces to the approved specification. Artwork is a separate discipline and is commissioned separately.
What is needed before artwork can start?
The bottle model and the cap, because the carton is sized around the finished unit. The country of sale also matters, since mandatory text blocks differ by market.
Can artwork be prepared after the bottle is chosen?
That is the usual order. Choosing the component first means the die-line and the label area are known, and the artwork is drawn once rather than redrawn.
Who owns the artwork files?
The brand. Manufacturing uses the files to produce; it does not take ownership of them.
